Welcome to another article in the series on macOS security internals!

This time, we are looking at new research on Apple Silicon vulnerabilities — SLAP & FLOP — discovered by researchers from Georgia Tech and Ruhr University Bochum. These attacks exploit speculative execution to leak sensitive data, posing a serious security risk.

The article only briefly introduces these vulnerabilities, but you can find links to the research papers if you want to dive deeper into the details.
